Our group meets monthly on the first Monday of each month from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. All disciplines are welcome. This group is supportive, honest and oriented towards personal growth. We are not trained to handle the money issues of practice in our graduate training, but they do intersect with clinical and personal dynamics in interesting ways. The monthly fee is $100 and an initial 3 month commitment is requested.
Stephen Howard, MD, Sandy Springs 30328, 404-843-9072, Website These supervision groups are offered for the therapist seeking to expand his/her vision, effectiveness, and enjoyment of the work. Psychotherapy is a deeply personal adventure for both therapist and client; regardless of theory or technique, everything in therapy occurs in the context of this extraordinary relationship. This makes the person of the therapist decisive. How we handle our strengths and vulnerabilities goes far toward determining the success of our work. Thus these groups include, but are never restricted to, case supervision. Ongoing groups are limited to four people, and meet weekly at varying times.
